Voice Description

I have an Authoritative Voice with an Edge suitable for Commercials, Narrations, Trailers, Imaging, Audiobooks, Promos, and Corporate, Industrial, Medical, or Military Training. My voice print is reminiscent of a Jack Webb/James Earl Jones mixture, although my range extends beyond what's demonstrated here. Romancing the words and connecting with a single listener are my best traits. I'm provocative and compelling, yet comforting and compassionate, conversational and convincing, but I can also be totally over the top.

My Voice Experience

A freelance voice actor since 1998, my client list includes: The Ford Motor Co.,Eastman Kodak,The Buffalo Sabres,The National Football League,Blue Cross Blue Shield,CART Racing,Keystone Health,Owens-Corning,Fisher-Price,FreeStar Bank,General Electric,Raytheon Corp., Seneca Nation of Indians,Roper St.Francis Hospitals-South Carolina(for which I've been the TV and radio voice since 2004),and Sea TV Network, among others. Current activities include in-house corporate and medical narrative work, as well as demos recently listed on voice bank through a NY agency. I've also acted in several independent films from 2002-2005, the latest of which (Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead - directed by Lloyd Kaufmann for Troma Films) screened at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2007 and in Hollywood in June 2008 and is listed on the Internet Movie database.

My Training

I enrolled in The Voice Actor's Workshop of Western New York in 1998, mentored by a noted Los Angeles voice actor, who relocated back to New York. This workshop taught not only the art, but also the business of voice acting, which led to my first demo, and was a crucial step in preparing me for relocation to the Los Angeles area in 2007.
I'm also a singer/songwriter/keyboardist, performing my first solo piano recital at age 6 and playing professionally since age 11. After studying music theory and composition at the University of Texas at El Paso, I joined the American Federation of Musicians in 1973. Several years of studio appearances and concert performances led to being named the Top Keyboardist at the Buffalo Backstage Music Awards in 1982 and again in 1983. Since releasing three international major label rock music albums from 1982-86 in the USA on Panther Records and on ATCO Records and, in Canada, on Flying Fist Records and on Warner Bros. Records, I've found that my music career has given me tremendous insight into my acting career.
