I have been recording books on tape for the Library of Congress' National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for the past 18 years. I record everyday from 8:30-5:00 with two fifteen minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch break. I cold read everything--fiction and non-fiction--and have developed a "sixth sense" about knowing who my characters are without pre-reading the book. My average total minutes of recorded time is about 310 minutes per day. I AM A WORK HORSE!!! I have been trained to make no breath, swallowing or paper noises while reading so am very low-maintenance when it comes to clean-up and editing.
