Voice Description
My voice can be warm and sincere for serious narrations, and appropriate commercials. I can also go full and sexy or offbeat and neurotic for commercial purposes. There's a raspy quality to my voice that I can play up or down depending on the age range, pitch and resonance needed for the project. I am excellent with partner reads, as a strong suit of mine is listening to and playing off another voice. I can do several accents with English, such as Midwestern, Southern, British, Irish and Canadian. I am also a fluent Spanish speaker (although not native).

My Voice Experience
I first decided to take voiceover lessons because I'd graduated from an acting program at NYU and was getting told often when I auditioned for things that I had a great voice. I've mostly done small, independent commercial work and some voiceover in film, including a mockumentary in which I played an uppercrust British reporter. My most recent project was a promotional video for Stuart Weitzman. Even if I have no specific experience in a type of voiceover work, I think something that sets me apart is that I'm an extremely quick learner with a natural ear and talent. In addition, my acting experience makes me very easy to direct in a variety of projects. I'm excited to get many more types of voiceover jobs under my belt, particularly radio and television advertisements. I've been represented on a freelancing basis by my voiceover coach, Marla Kirban.
My Training
I've received voice coaching from Marla Kirban, in the form of individual one-on-one lessons. In addition, I received acting training at NYU's Atlantic Theater Company Acting School and their Classical Studio, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
My Studio Equipment
I have a voice recording and editing program on my computer. Also, if the project was right, I do have access to the studio at which my demo was produced, and the services of a sound engineer, Bryant Falk.
Additional Skills
I'm extremely hard-working and I take direction and criticism very well. I have an affinity for languages, and in fact am teaching myself Portuguese right now. I pride myself on making my dialects sounds quite natural. I also have pretty intense vocal training from my days at NYU, so I have a good amount of vocal stamina and healthy vocal production. I can carry a tune, if singing is ever needed for a recording, though it might be better used to comedic effect rather than in earnest!
