Voice Description
I have a deep tone to my voice which makes it good for narrations in documentaries, and gives it a sexy feature. English is my native language. I have a rather "standard" dialect since I have been teaching ESL for years and have had to get rid of expressions and accents that confuse my students. Spanish is my second language (Mexican) and I have native fluency and accent. In Spanish, I can do a "fresa", which is rather like a valley girl or snobby type talk.

My Voice Experience
Start your day with a cup of coffee? I can tell you the history of coffee... as my first voice over was dubbing a training video from English to Spanish for Cafe Plaza, one of the largest cafe chains in Mexico (at least before Italian coffee and Starbucks!) I have also learned about my adoptive country by working for the Department of Tourism and Municipal Governments dubbing promotional tourism videos and material intended to attract investors in certain regions of the country.
My Training
"Accidentally" is the word that describes how I got started in voice overs. Besides teaching, I also work in translation and interpretation, so as a result of doing the translation of the script for the voice over, I was asked to follow up and actually do it. I also have to apply many techniques for breathing, voice quality, etc. when interpreting in a conference or court hearing.
