My Voice Experience

I have not lived an average life. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, so, in a sense, English IS my second language. On the other hand, years of broadcast experience means that I can sound like I am from nearly anywhere.

I have produced a variety of projects for clients. I have performed audio books, IVR, impressions (most recently Borat for an IVR system), pick a president from FDR to Bush I can do him. Of course I can do Arnold, but I can also do real sounding accents of the British Isles, including a variety of English accents, Irish, Scots, Australian, and Canadian. Add to these a number of English/European accents.

My most recent voice talent accomplishments include a New Jersey accent for a linguist studying Japanese attitudes towards different English accent styles. My proudest moment of late was dubbing a movie shown at the Education Center at the American Cemetary in Normandy, France.

Currently, I work full-time as a telephone salesman for Crutchfield Corporation. I field calls from all over the U.S. and can sound familiar to my customer almost instantly.

I have worked in many places, going from London barman, to Virginia school teacher.

Vocally, I have rocked the house with karaoke, and performed in choirs. I have many professional local radio commercials to my credit as well as television voice-overs and on-hold services.

My Training

I am a graduate of the State University of New York College at Brockport, with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications. I have worked as a professional journalist, talk show producer and disk jockey.

I hold a Master's in Teaching from the University of Virginia and served as an elementary school teacher for 13 years at a rural school in Albemarle County.
