My Training
I've been a professional and/or amateur actor for over 30 years, both on-camera and on stage. I worked with a audio/video production company for over 11 years where I directed voice talent and also served as voice talent. I wrote copy for and produced thousands of radio and television commercials. I conducted well over 5000 telephone interviews, recorded them, and edited the interviewees' voices to create testimonial commercials. I have an MBox2 with Pro Tools LE 8 to work with in my home studio. I have a Master's Degree in Education, and my undergraduate major was English. I was also an English teacher on the junior/senior high school level. In short, I've been on the "front end" and the "back end" of voiceover!
My Studio Equipment
Mac OS 10.6.7, MBox 2 with ProTools LE 8, MXL V67 mic. I have experience mixing, normalizing, compressing, etc., though I would not consider myself an "expert" engineer. I can create .wav and .aif files as well as mp3s and mp4s. I do have access to an expert audio engineer, and also access to a music library.
Additional Skills
I've been a professional and/or amateur actor for over 30 years, both on-camera and on stage. I worked with a audio/video production company for over 11 years where I directed voice talent and also served as voice talent. I wrote copy for and produced thousands of radio and television commercials. I conducted well over 5000 telephone interviews, recorded them, and edited the interviewees' voices to create testimonial commercials, for which I wrote the announcer copy. I did other copywriting as well. I have a Master's Degree in Education, and my undergraduate major was English. I was also an English teacher on the junior/senior high school level. In short, I've been on the "front end" and the "back end" of voiceover! I have worked numerous professional and skilled labor jobs; therefore, I have an understanding of the "roles" of many peoples' lives. I can carry on a conversation with just about anyone. I learned to do so in my professional career in testimonial commercial production.
