Voice Description

I can do a warm and deep voice and I am able to speak very politely and also do accents; Australian, Scottish, London (Loud Male, East End Cockney), Birmingham and Liverpudlian. My natural accent is Yorkshire, as I am from Barnsley, though I am very good at hiding this. I do a marvellous impersonation of the Robin Williams character Mrs Doubtfire. I am also able to make myself sound like a child of about three/four years of age and have no trouble in keeping this up for hours at a time. If you would like me to record any voice over for you I am able to do this from home with my recording equipment better still by coming into your studio. The equipment I have is not very sophisticated though it is not too bad so it may be better for you to listen to a demo from me before deciding whether or not it is good enough quality or better for me to use your studio (if you have this facility). I am able to travel to Barnsley, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, and Manchester or anywhere within reason in the United Kingdom.

My Voice Experience

I have been told that I am very good at doing a range of different voices. I once recorded an outgoing, well spoken Upper Class English message for my partners work telephone answering service and was praised for this by my partners employer who said it was "EXCELLENT". He asked me if I would do recordings for all his employee's company telephone's and the office answering machines, but I declined as I was full time employment at the time.

Additional Skills

The only previous job I have had that I feel has helped me is working in Customer Service. Talking on the telephone to a large variant of different people with different accents meant I had to speak clearly and without my natural accent so that they could understand me. I remember a particular customer that asked me which part of the Country I was from as I had a lovely voice, when I replied, they were surprised as they had visited my home town of Barnsley and said that I sounded far better spoken than I should. I currently live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, but I am prepared to travel any distance in the UK within reason to meet your voice over needs.
