My Voice Experience
"Acting" in promo spots for cable company.
Voice over commercial spots for local businesses. Funeral homes, hardware stores, etc.
Narration for historical pieces.
Intro piece for "Night of the Living Dead" dressed as a zombie.
Full devil makeup and costume for parody of "Antiques Roadshow". Unfortunately, tape was eaten by machine. I have some that did survive, just not that one.
I have been told by many people at stores, past jobs, on the phone, etc. that I should be an announcer or on the radio. In a round about way, I think they were telling me that I had the "face" for radio. :-)
In college, my friends would joke that I'd be the richest one in our group from doing cartoon voices.
My Training
I worked at Insight Communications in Lafayette, Indiana. I was approached by people in our Media Advertising department as well as our local origination production department to do some of this work.
I have no formal training in this area. I have bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Environmental Studies.
