My Voice Experience
My voice over experience is varied. I have voiced local TV commercials, have voiced the narration for a business' website, and have done some voicemail.
I have also voiced audiobooks for RFB&D, Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic.
No matter what I'm voicing, my number one goal is to make sure the person hiring me is 100% satisfied with my work!
My Training
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Seton Hall University. While in college, I was involved with the performing arts, and was able to engage in improv workshops with other actors.
I was also a member of the radio station, WSOU, where I produced and hosted various music and news shows. I also took classes on radio production, which entailed voicing, editing, and producing 30- and 60-second commercials.
As a singer in both musicals on stage and with various bands, I have learned how to control my voice to get the best possible sound, emotion, and tonality from it.
I have also attended voiceover workshops with a focus on script analysis, and making the voiceover believable to your audience. All of this has helped me to become a well-rounded voiceover artist.
My Studio Equipment
I currently have a Blue Yeti USB microphone and Audacity software to record at home. I can easily go to any studio for higher end recordings.
Additional Skills
The most relevant skill I possess is always knowing what I'm selling and who my audience is. Anyone can go into a booth and read words off a page. It takes a special talent to analyze what's on the page, determine who needs to hear the message, and tailor the voiceover to that segment to get the best possible response. Whether it's a commercial, a promo, or a narration, knowing your audience is key to believability.
