My Voice Experience

Professional TV :30 writer/producer for 15 years. I got into voice over by default after my clients chose my "offline" read over the hired big gun. I was encouraged by many of the biggest names in voice over after hiring them for years for projects that I was producing. Although I have extensive experience in TV promo and news, I have competitive reads as commercial voice actor, video sales presentations, book narration, documentary narration.

My Training

Trained in Los Angeles & Nashville in TV promo, commercial agency spots, news promo, after working with some of the best voice talents in television & radio. I was Partner & Creative Director for a TV on-air promotion agency in Los Angeles for 6 years where I concepted, wrote, and produced many :30 promos. I understand voiceover from a producers standpoint and can manage hiring, producing, coaching, and editing best-takes for delivering premium voice over performances.

I am also an accomplished music composer for TV promo, commercials, and corp presentations. I specialize in producing music for television branding and identity including news, station identity, TV program themes, station/network signatures & logos, theme songs & jingles, and complete music packages for TV networks, local station news, show packaging and promo, radio stations/networks, and corporate positioning. I also score music for dramatic feature film, video games, and internet multimedia.

My Studio Equipment

I record with a Neumann U89 to ProTools or Digital Performer. I use TC Electronic Powercore and Waves plugins on a Mac OS X G5 Dual. Outboard gear includes Valley People 440 compressor/limiter, TC Helicon VoicePrism, Lexicon PCM70.

In addition to voice over work, I operate a recording studio for commercial post-production, radio spots, and music production services. My reputation as a audio editor for voice over, dialog, sound effects, and music mixing engineer brings many of clients to refer me to video and agency producers, music artists, and production companies of all kinds.
