My Voice Experience
Having delivered sermons, press conferences, technical seminar announcing, and much more, I am frequently called upon to let my voice do the talking.
Nearly 200 years ago, my classmates in elementary school laughed and called me marble mouth. It has taken many years of edging and coaxing by my colleagues for me to finally accept their words of encouragement and take this step.
I use to think that the many requests for recoding voice mail greetings was more of a joke (on me) but when I am asked to give sermons, announce at conferences, etc., perhaps the words of encouragement are truly sincere.
My Training
My training comes from practice, reading out loud at church, practice, recording voice mail greetings, practice, remembering how elementary school was, sermons at church, announcing at conferences, practice, more voice mail greetings, and hoping that some day I can get a break and move on to something more than voice mail greetings.
This is after all a beginning for me.
