My Voice Experience
I have been interested in performance my whole life, from ringmaster in my kindergarten class circus, to puppetry and radio parodies in school, to sketch comedy on public access TV with my college buddies. I also have experience on the production side, running lights, video, and sound for Denver's science fiction and anime conventions since 1986.
In recent years, I have been a volunteer for the LibriVox public-domain audiobook project, and the MC for the Nan Desu Kan anime convention. I joined the crew of the Denver Roller Dolls in 2006 as MC and play-by-play announcer, and am now in my fourth season on the roller derby microphone.
Since January of 2008, I have been formally training in voiceover with Bill Smith of The Acting Studio in Denver, and volunteering for the Rocky Mountain unit of Recording For the Blind & Dyslexic.
My Training
From fourth grade through high school, I performed instrumental music both solo and ensemble, primarily clarinet but also saxophone and piano. I had private music lessons for a number of years.
Recently I have been training weekly in private sessions with Bill Smith of The Acting Studio in Denver.
