Voice Description

Baritone and can emphasize a point. Serious and/or cynical, happy and/or bright/nasally. I like doing an old and cranky guy(for humor). Sometimes I can get a New Yorker sound, but a Spanish accent isn't too difficult. I can also do an authoritative voice but not too over the top, enthusiastic and convincing. I enjoy doing narrations, serious, mysterious and spooky or casual spots and audio.

My Voice Experience

Radio broadcasting, narration, voiced radio and television commercials and liners. My voice has been used on tape and CD productions and was used on telephone messaging systems as a deterrent for unwanted telephone calls.

My Training

On-air experience includes KTON-AM and KLTD-FM, and PBS/NPR affiliates KWBU-FM and KNCT-FM and voicing overs for KPLE, a TBN affiliate. Two semesters of production classes from the former GM of KNCT FM/TV. Various skits and plays along with specials effects for a childrens church skit.

My Studio Equipment

Shure PG-48, Behringer Eurorack UB1002FX, Roland E-70 keyboard all wired directly to my computer, which is loaded with various audio editing software programs. I can use the sound effects from my Roland keyboard and use different special effects from my mixer and/or what is in my editing software for various digital effects(stadium, empty room, Grand Canyon, demonic and even a helium voice).

Additional Skills

I did a lot of weather announcement updates, public service announcements along with a lot of tag work when I worked at KTON/KLTD. Much required production orders and copy writing for potential clients. Voice talent work for several church organizations for various video and tape ministries. For fun, I moderate a net for amateur radio operators leading me to make a swapnet sound exciting.
