Voice Description

I'm often told I sound young for my age. Sometimes I am told I sound like a child or have an elfish voice. That's fine to me. I'd love to do voice over for video/computer games or cartoons. I think overall I have a fun, quirky sort of qaulity. I like to sing and do impressions of Kermit the Frog, Cher and more. I would like to learn and explore more. I know my voice can take me somewhere in life ;-)

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I had an Austrailan and British boyfriends in my early twenties and often picked on them both about it. I liked to copy them. I think I can pull those accents pretty darn good (as I've been told. OMG, I hope they're not lying)

My Voice Experience

I did some commercials and mini movies while back in Technical School while I lived in Vermont. I also did voice over work for a PEG TV (local channel in VT) and a Halloween special about haunted areas in our county. My favorite was being able to be the President and sole-creator of our first AND only thus far, Video Yearbook which I also filmed, directed, wrote and did voice over for.

My Training

See above PLEASE *Laughs* I really don't want to rewrite that all. However, I took courses at Stafford Technical center in Rutland, VT in 99' and in Otter Valley Union High School I was in Theatre Arts which I created many characters. I took courses in Writing for publication at Long Ridge Writers, Conn. thru mail. I have published work in Poetry and have two published books (Waking Him: The Diaries of an Ugly Daydreamer & Hildigarde of Willow Hollow). I was in a band called "Blue Pocket Break Out" in HS where I sang lead vocals and performed at talent shows. The drummer in our band works in Radio and has his own DJ biz called JamMan Entertainment in VT. He recommended me for work like this so I had to mention him.

My Studio Equipment

I have a computer and a microphone but I'm willing to buy the proper equipment if needed. Um, I have a karaoke machine. Not interested? Ok.

Additional Skills

I have been trying to get out there to do this work but my dreams have been put on hold. My husband went to Iraq and served a two year term and I have two young daughters that needed to be cared for. I think it's time to do something for me now. And well, I'm excited and really want this.

I've been inspired through games like Dungeons and Dragons, The Longest Journey and Omikkron: The Nomad Soul.
