My Voice Experience

The "Countdown voice" for CANADIAN COUNTDOWN, a weekly 1-hour NATIONAL RADIO SHOW broadcast on 30 stations, Marion also produced the radio show in 2006.

She has customers in Canada & US doing message-on-holds, website audio, computer based training, radio commercials, jingle writing and singing, and video narration.

She is co-manager of & singer with an AWARD-WINNING a cappella ensemble, The CHICKAdivas. Her Diabetes Compass Radio jingle, sung by her group, aired weekly on the internet and radio airwaves. The CHICKAdivas have recorded 2 CDs over the past 6 years – "CHICK Us Out!" and "Wintersong" – both available from www.cdbaby.com and www.indiepool.com

My Training

Marion has sung all her life! After stints in numerous community and semi-professional choirs, she took the leap and was instrumental in forming a unique all-female quintet, The CHICKAdivas. Marion then branched out into voice over taking courses and coaching with Debbie Munro, Gary Connolly, James Alburger, Penny Abshire, and Bob Bergen (Porky Pig) and acting courses from LA Director Tom Logan.

Additional Skills

Marion has 5 years post-secondary education with a Graphic Design diploma from Grant MacEwen College (Edmonton) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Design Major from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After completing her BFA, she was employed as a graphic designer at the University of Alberta for 9 1/2 years.

For 2 years she used her voice over and communication skills teaching adults how to become entrepreneurs at Microbusiness Training Centre in Edmonton, while running her own company, EYE TALK STUDIO. She helps clients better communicate to their customers through "graphics & gab".
