Voice Description

I have a very versatile voice and can do numerous accents in both English (N.American) and Spanish with no accent carryover. I can also do Radio News quality readings in both English and Spanish. I can do accents in both English and Spanish that range from professional to heavily regional and can handle impersonating most accents in both languages.
My first language is spanish, but I have no trace accent when speaking English, which has been described as West texan. I can do most dialects in Spanish such as Mexican, Border Mexican, Southern Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Spaniard, and most others without much prep. In English, I can impersonate most accents such as Eastern (New York, Boston), South (Texas drawl, country), and can do most accents such as Indian, Arabic, English (European), Scottish/Irish (they sound surprisingly similar when I do them for some reason). Please note that these accents lean more towards the comedic than the serious. For professional presentations, my best languages are English (N. American, middle age)and Spanish (Central Mexico, educated, middle age).

My Voice Experience

Have been a club Dj for 7 years in different venues including dance clubs, night clubs, and gentlemen's clubs. I have also done commercial voice overs in the past in Mexico and have done program voice dubbing for American sit coms and cartoons for broadcast in Spanish- speaking languages. Also, during most of these projects I often did 2 or more voices, including dialogue between two people talking to each other (that can get fuzzy).

My Training

no training whatsoever. I was discovered by a club owner while imitating our club dj and was given my first microphone job. My talent is all natural and I have been able to do it as far as I can remember. As I have gotten older I have learned alot more about taking care of my voice and have started to do vocal chord exercises and maintenance.

I'm a naturally funny person who looks to make people laugh with good improvisational skills, which has helped in doing live radio spots. I am dedicated to my craft and do things in a professional manner. I am not only fluent in English and Spanish, but can read and write in both. I have done some work helping to write copy, especially when dealing with certain nuances in the Spanish dialects that perhaps the original copy did not get quite right. As with most languages, subtle differences in Spanish dialects from region to region can affect the meaning of the message.
