My voice is rich and flowing. I have sung alto in formal musical settings for a number of years. I have excellent diction and fluency of English. I am able to inflect English to sound French as well as use a heavy southern or Hill-billy accent as I am from Tennessee.

My Voice Experience

I have recorded several audio-books and other recordings for visually impaired students in my school district. I am a teacher and read books aloud on a daily basis. I sing in the church choir. I lead congregational prayer from the pulpit as well as lead responsive readings.

My Training

I have a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Special Education. I have attended several seminars in recording for the blind and visually impaired. I have listened to numerous descriptive video recordings. I made one political commercial during the 2006 election cycle.

Additional Skills

I am able to type approximately 110 wpm. I am able to view movie footage and make descriptive comments about the action of the movie while watching the film. I have a good idea of where to insert the comments during the "quiet" sections of the film.
