Marieke's voice is very versatile. She is Dutch, was born and raised in Belgium and trained in England as an actor. Because of this, she can convincingly voice in 3 languages. Marieke has a real affinity with the spoken word, is an extremely good sight reader and, because she is a musician too, she has a particular knack for timing voice to jingles. Her voice can be warm, fun, professional, smooth and her diction is always clear and clean. Marieke works fast and precise, whether it be for children, commercials, ADR, audiobooks, corporate or documentaries. She writes and translates as well.

My Voice Experience

Since starting to look into VO work in 2005, Marieke has done quite a bit of work. Her first job was with KETNET, Belgian's national Children's TV website, for which she voiced for 3 years, including some commercials on television. She did ADR for the award winning John Adams mini series in Dutch, she has provided VO for documentaries, corporate VO work for amongst others Heineken and Ford Fiesta, she has done TV commercials for amongst others Clarks and Thomas Cook. Marieke has recorded sketches for non native Flemish speakers (linguapolis, Antwerp) and has recorded audiobooks for the blind. She is always on the lookout for new projects because to her, VO work is simply great fun!

My Training

Trained at Cygnet Training Theatre (England, Exeter) as an actor. Voice over work comes naturally to her.

Additional Skills

Marieke studied languages and music. She is an excellent sight reader, which means she usually gets the job done in about half the assigned time, and has surprised many studios, directors and producers with her speed and professionalism.
