My Voice Experience

In elementary, my teacher would hand me her copy of 'Bridge to Terabithia' and ask me to read to the class. I remember sitting perched on her stool, my classmates cross-legged on the carpet around me, trying to make real to them with my voice what I could see in my mind with the words flowing from my lips.

In high school, a classmate approached me after English class one day, shyly admitting she loved whenever I offered or was picked to read the text from the Shakespeare we were studying.

Hosting and producing a radio program in University gave me the opportunity to learn more about the magic of recording, sending sound out over the city, mastering the tones and breathing that help the voice convey subtle messages to listening ear. Pure magic.

I record at home using Audacity, Adobe Sound Forge and an H2 Zoom microphone.

Additional Skills

I am a musician. I play the piano, organ, and I sing, mostly gospel, but I have a background in and appreciation for jazz, opera, and choral music.
