Voice Description

I can work in Spanish which is my main mother tongue and English which I speak with a very slight accent (note easily detected from exactly where) or I can use a light to strong Spanish accent.
In Spanish my diction is neutral and I don't have a discernible accent at all from any particular country of ethnic group. For character work I can create accents from different countries, primarily Puerto Rican, Cuban and Argentine.

For Narrator's Voice Over material my voice is smooth and warm with very clear pronounciation. I have done a lot of character voices and adapt according to need.

My Voice Experience

For over 25 years worked as on-air-talent for Radio and Television based out of Washington, D.C. for broadcasting outlets within the United States and internationally. (Local ABC, CBS and NBC TV affiliates working in English and Voice of America and Worldnet TV in Spanish.)

On a regular basis did extensive freelance V/O work for TV series, documentaries and production for organizations such as: United States Information Agency, World Banck, Interamerican Development Bank, Discovery Channel, Pan American Health Organization, National Geographic, U.S. Parks Authority, PBS, MCI and the National Institutes of Health, among others.

Have recorded Spanish audiobooks for Random House (1) Simon & Schuster (1), Recorded Books (9), Harcourt Brace & Jovanovich (36 children read-along books), Library of Congress (several for their Blind Services Division), Santillana Publishing and Laredo Publishing (collection of read-along books for children).

Additional Skills

I am a Writer/Producer for Radio and Television shows and can work in both languages.

I have translated over a dozen books, 8 of which I also produced and voiced the audiobook versions that were subsequently purchased for distribution in the United States by Recorded Books.

During more than 15 years I have created dubbing scripts for TV series that were markedted and distributed throughout Latin America. This entails translating/writing dubbing text to fit existing producitons with its consequent time restraints.
