My Voice Experience

Maria Makredes is an experienced nonunion voiceover artist who has voiced two characters singing parts of a jingle in a television commercial broadcast in the New York City and Long Island market. See and hear second Dan the CityWide Man commercial on YouTube(highest female notes). Her voice is heard daily as the announcer introducing an AM radio program in the Boston area, and also transitioning between segments and promoting the station and its website. She also regularly records promotional spots for the wide range of clients, including automotive dealerships, inns, and jewlers serviced by New England's largest provider of digital on-hold voice messages.

Actively using her talents in the community for the enrichment of others, Maria has lent her narration skills to fiction and nonfiction works for the Talking Book Library at Perkins School for the Blind, which circulates audiobooks recorded by its volunteers through the Library of Congress; she also enjoyed reading to 4th graders at an urban elementary school as part of the BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schols) program. In addition to soloing with her church choir as a soprano, Maria has also sung Christmas music as a costumed Victorian Caroller performing at corporate events as part of a quartet provided by Big Smile Productions, a professional entertainment company.
