Voice Description

I have a warm and deep voice for book audio and documentary narration because I am a professionally trainned mezzo-soprano. I have also a serious professional voice for presentations, because I have an academic trainning and background. I can do any type of singing because I have more than ten years of vocal trainning as an opera singer as well as a pop singer. I can sing in Italian, Spanish, and English. My native language is Spanish, in particular from Argentina. I also speak fluent English with Spanish/Italian accent.
I have also acting trainning and I can do dramatic, comic and cartoon caracters too.

My Training

I have a multiple trainning. First I am trainned as an academic in the huminities/literary field. I am a PhD in Latin American history from SUNY, Stony Brook. My trainning as a teacher has allowed me to have a very clear diction and excellent projection in my presentations. At the same time, I have a very rich cultural background as a an reader. Second, I have trainning as an actress and singer. I have theater trainning from the University of Buenos Aires and HB Studion in New York . I hold a Masters in Performing Arts at Brooklyn College, CUNY and more than ten years of vocal trainning and performance. I have done around 13 opera roles at New York Companies, such as Amato Opera Theater and more recently I have been performing Tango/Latin music at several NY famous venues, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the New School and Joe's Pub among others. I have also voice over trainning through several workshops hold by the Hispanic organization HOLA.
Recently my one woman show "1000 Marias" has been chosen among 150 projects for the Voice and Envision Retreat at Bard College. This is a biographical piece that deals with issues of identity, culture and gender that will probably be performed next year at either Here theater or La Mamma in New York.
