Voice Description

I have extensive training on stage and in voice and diction. My voice is clear and concise for narration and announcing. My vocal range varies from cute and bubbly for commercials, to a mellow soft spoken "fm" radio station announcer. I have a wide range of characterization styles which include young ingenue, leading lady, senior citizens, caricatures of young males, and leading men, as well as educated and non-educated characters, ideal for Audio books and storytelling.

Proficient in dialects US and European - UK (cockney, aristocratic, Liverpool region), Scottish, Irish, Spanish, French, Russian, Greek. American dialects include New York, Southern Belle, Texas drawl, Mid-Western, and Bostonian. I have excellent mimic abilities.

My Voice Experience

My former partner and I created a magic and special effects production company. We produced, marketed and sold a catalog of products worldwide, which included instructional videos and dvds. I provided my acting and voice talents for our products. We created short comedy scenes to make them more entertaining with a wide variety of characterizations which included muppet-like puppetry performances, newscasting shorts, dinner date shorts, as well as European castle tour spoof. I also write copy and provide voice over talent for a mortgage and loan company to market and sell a wide range of loan services and real estate property in Southern Arizona. In addition, I have extensive storytelling and cold reading experience to children audiences in schools and libraries for storytime.

My Training

I hold a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts in Theatre production. I performed starring roles in full length theatrical stage productions (both classic - Shakespere's Juliet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning in the Brownings of Wimpole Street and as well as contemporary productions which included Sister Bessie Rice in Tobacco Road, to name a few). I moved to LA and expanded my entertainment experience to the professional music industry at Capitol Records for almost a decade. I started my career in the Business Affairs Dept. then moved to the Marketing/Promotion Dept. at sister label EMI Records. I left the music industry to partner with a professional magician. We toured all the major cities in the US and Europe for the next 14 years, creating theatrical magic shows, composing and performing soundtrack CDs of our shows and produced a series of videos and DVDs of our theatrical productions. We had a catalog of magic and special effects we marketed and sold worldwide. We were hired and traveled to work with, consult, create, and provide special effects for motivational speaker Anthony Robbins (Maui, HI), music producer legend, Alan Parsons (London, UK), and musical entertainer, Jim Safford (Branson, MO).

Digital Studio recording equipment includes Sony Vaio desktop and laptop (for mobile recording capabilities) with Adobe CS3 Master Collection software which includes state of the art recording software, Soundbooth.

I have over 30 years of experience in the professional entertainment industry, both in front of and behind the scenes. I am a seasoned performer with professional starring role experience on stage, video, film, and music. My talents and experience include professional music composition, theatrical, and television writer, producer and peformer in all the major US and European cities (New York, LA, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Vienna). I also have extensive experience in parenthood and teaching. I homeschool my child whose been reading and writing from the age of two.
