I have a wide dynamic range from high spirited and energetic to velvety smooth and comfortable.My warmhearted sincerity sounds sisterly which is great for public service announcements or health care ads. I have a wry tone that is humorous and gives a "wink". I can be trustworthy, friendly, and warm for commercials.

Audio books: Children's stories are my favorite. I am able to make vocal characterizations that add color but not to distraction.

I minored in foreign language in college: 2 years each of German and Italian, and four years of French. I also studied lyric diction.

My Voice Experience

My voice experience began with my love of singing. I studied voice and sang with the San Francisco symphony chorus as well as with a small renaissance group. I currently teach guitar and voice, and am excited to be able to explore the acting side of voice in the field of voice over. Most of my work has been in radio.

My Training

I have studied the art of voice over with Nancy Wolfson. I completed her curriculum in private lessons as well as participating in teleseminars.

I have been a student at Puget Sound Guitar Workshop for the last eight summers to date. Although my initial vocal training was classical, I have also studied with teachers like Laurel Bliss and Kieth Little to capture the essence of Appalachian song or bluegrass part singing.
