My Voice Experience

I have been a teacher and principal for many years. Reading to children and adults has been a part of my regular duties and I LOVE it. Taking on the voice of the characters has always made the selections more fun and entertaining to my listeners.
I have done a couple of live commercials locally and participated in choral and little theater productions most of my life.
It is the voice of command and persuasion that the teacher in me has that I feel can really "sell."

My Training

This industry has always intrigued me. Last spring when our local community college offered an introductory course to voice overs, I went. Then this past summer I went to Albany, NY to complete the master class with Voices For All. It was an intensive four days and at the end a demo was made.
When I was younger I took voice lessons and have been active in choral productions. A fun night out for me includes a good karaoke place. I have had several lead roles in little theater musicals in my community.

My Studio Equipment

I have my own studio equipped with pro-tools. A professional mike with popper, the digi-design box, and other collateral pieces. I have a keyboard and piano and access to canned music if desired.

There is also a professional studio in driving distance if other accents are requested by my client.

Additional Skills

In education I am certified in five areas. My main love is English teacher. In that field I get to play with reading, writing, and speaking. I teach my students tongue twisters to improve their fluency and I show them not only the power of words but the power of words through the delivery.
I has been my pleasure to speak at conferences and make presentations at teacher development workshops. The power of persuasion needed to work with teens seems a good fit for influencing clients.
