Voice Description

My voice is very resonant and deep. This is good for movie trailers and suspenseful narrations. It can also be smooth and romantic for summer romance films or commercials. My voice can also be motivating and demanding of attention in a professional environment, such as Voice of God scenarios for conferences and coporate meetings . I also enjoy doing characters for various commercial scenarios. I can sound British with a hint of an Australian accent. Furthermore, I can bring a range of cultural dialects like that of the urban community or articulate and conservative. Lastly, but not the least, I enjoy doing voices that are applicable to phone messaging systems for automated telecommunications.

My Voice Experience

I am still growing in this area of my career, but I have had the oppotunity to use my VO talents in the corporate arena. In my experience in the audiovisual industry, I have had the opportunity to use my VO talent for corporate quarterly meetings and product launches as the Voice of God. I have worked as an audiovisual technician and specialist for the last 5 years and while operating the audiovisual portions in many of these meetings/conferences, I was often given the task of VOG. In other instances I provided recordings of my VOG's for clients to use in their programs to either demand attention from attendees to have them sit down, inform them when meetings would resume as well as anounce keynote speakers. I have operated as a technician for the annual ADMIN conference, which included comapnies in attendance such as IBM, Portal Workplace, and Lotus. I ave also performed VOG's for a few medical and eduacational institutions. All of these meetings/conferences were hotel functions that took place at the Sheraton Boston, Westin Copley, and Westin Waltham hotels. In addition, I was an MC for many non-profit events such as CITY YEAR's annual SERV-A-Thon. However, much of my experience has been in the corporate/professional arena, but I am eager to expand my talents in other entertainment industies and or multimedia applications.

My Training

I graduated from the New England Institute of Art and Communications with an Associates degree in Audio Production. While studying at the institute I had the wonderful experience of recording radio spots and movie trailer VO's for many of my projects. This is where I first became exposed to the world of VO talent.
In the last 5 years I have been working full-time for one of the leading corporate audiovisual service providers in the country, Presentation Services, also known as PSAV. I began my career with PSAV as technician operating corporate events for two years, was promoted as an Assitant Director at the Westin Waltham Hotel where I sold corporate events and managed operations, then recently was promoted as the Regioanl Technical Trainer. Through PSAV I had the opportunity to use my VO talents in various corporate settings. PSAV has allowed my VO abilities to become pratical in the field.

Additional Skills

By profession I am an audio engineer/music producer. My goal is to eventually work in post production. I have a home post production DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) where I record side projects. I use Pro Tools, which is an industry standard digital recording medium used in most post produciton/recording studio facilities. So not only do I have VO capabilities, but I also produce and engineer all of my own projects out of the convenience of my home studio. Most of my musical projects are Hip Hop and R&B in nature, with the occasional Alternative Rock. However, I am open to various recording projects, anything to continue on my path as an audio producer/engineer.
