Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Country boy, redneck, british, cockney, "intelligence challenged", evil, radio, old man and nerdy. I also do super heroes and a variety of other character voices.
My Voice Experience
I started with in-store commercials for Skaggs Alpha-Beta in '89, was discovered by a local radio icon, "Willie Wheelchair". I trained at KFDI for 6 months while in college before realizing radio didn't pay all that well.
Later, I began to write and record radio commercials for my uncle for his furniture business, as well as for my own business. I managed a three county advertising paper for 3 years, designing advertising and marketing materials for a variety of businesses. I did marketing consultations for these companies, identifying their market and their potential markets, and finding effective ways to reach them.
My Training
I have a degree in Graphic Design from WATC, where I won 2nd place in an international graphic design competition. I attended Wichita State University, where I won a trophy for "Musical Performance" in an intra-fraternal competition call "Hippodrome".
My Studio Equipment
I have a small home studio with amplifiers, computer equipment and software for recording. I have a diploma in electronics, and am able to produce quality recordings.
Additional Skills
My experience in radio commercials as well as over 7 years in advertising have helped me to return to this field well prepared. As I am new to the "On-Line" aspect of voice overs, I am willing to offer attractive pricing for my work until I have "earned my wings".
