My Voice Experience
Celebrated for her expertise with unique extended vocal techniques, Mantra Plonsey is a contributor to many sound scores for the film industry. Mantra was specifically invited to create creature sound effects for Jerry Garcia's film "Pocoloco". Mantra appears on the soundtrack for Adrian Lyne's feature film "Jacob's Ladder", score by Maurice Jarre, recorded at Columbia Studios, Los Angeles; two films of the "9@Night" series, produced by Al Nelson at Skywalker Sound with performances originated by Mantra, and the movie "I love You, I love You Not", with Claire Danes and Jeanne Moreau.
Additionally, Mantra Plonsey is featured daily on a national promo on PBS radio, running over 15 years for City Arts and Lectures. Written by Pat Gleeson, the vocal performance is Mantra's. Multiple character voices for the Electronic Arts Playstation Game "Psychic Detective". Latest job: for THX/Onkyo Integra Theater Systems-- Corporate presentation recorded at MarcoCo.
