Voice Description

I would say that my voice is adaptable but would be most interested on working on documentaries and presentations. I presently work as a French interpreter so my voice must be clear and concise for this particular profession and as I work in various fields, I must be able to adapt tone and pitch.

I speak with a Scottish accent and as I lived in France for many years, I speak French fluently and with little or no accent.

My Voice Experience

I have only been involved in one voice-over job for the moment which was a documentary in French about Alzheimer's disease, and I spoke over this in English. As I enjoyed this work I would be looking to gain further experience in this field

My Training

I have an English degree, an HND in secretarial studies with languages (french and german) and a DPSI (diploma in public service interpreting. I also continue to learn other foreign languages including spanish and arabic. This year I will begin a course in hypnotherapy with the aim of eventually obtaining a degree in this field and setting up my own practice. I have very broad interests and feel that I am strong in communication.

I do not have such equipment and the work which I carried out was in a studio organised by an agency.

Additional Skills

I have worked in various fields, including the BBC transcription service, a European organisation in France and for my interpreting work, am involved in legal, medical and social fields. I work regularly in courts, hospitals, social work settings and education. I consider myself to be broadly educated, undertaking translation work for political refugees (eg. translation of evidence from their country etc).
