I've been an on-air radio voice since 1976, working in the southeastern U.S. I've done every kind of commercial under the sun for radio, and some voiceover work for local television. I have been a local radio endorser for Publix, Comcast, Cricket Wireless, and McDonald's.
I've been a professional broadcaster for more than 35 years, training in the industry with every voiceover job that came my way over the years.
My microphone is an Electrovoice RE-20, which seems to be the radio station standard these days. Also have a Neumann TLM 170. I use the RE-20 primarily, as I think the Neumann can sound a little harsh. Mic processor is an Air Corp Pro Announcer with compression, expansion, and EQ. Mixer is by Behringer, with EQ and effects, feeding the recording computer running Cool Edit Pro software with multitrack mixing ability and effects.
I am well versed in mechanical stuff! Kind of a grizzly, manly man. Cars, trucks, bulldozers, cranes, etc. Need someone to pronounce Lamborghini correctly? I can handle it! I enjoy work with an 'industrial' feel, but I won't shy away from a florist ad, either.
