My voice is deep and slightly husky. It is warm and colorful for narrations, seductive and youthful for commercials, and standard and professional for presentations. I can perform a southern (standard) and southern urban accent, as well as an urban/hiphop youthful accent.

My Voice Experience

As a stage actor, I am new to the world of voice overs. I have performed two radio plays and two radio comedy sketches for the National Audio Theater Festival (2005, 2007). I also appear in several skits on a spoken word CD titled Banthology.

My Training

I received my B.A in Theatre from Spelman College in 2000, and my M.F.A in Theatre from The Actor's Studio Drama School in 2006.

I participated in the National Audio Theatre Festival in 2005 and 2007. I studied with Bill Dufries and was directed by Charles Potter.

I took private voice over sessions with Aria McKenna and recorded my demo with her.

Additional Skills

My years in the theatre have taught me a lot in terms of professional discipline and committment to a project. I arrive early and leave late if necessary. I always come prepared for work, having done my own homework prior to arriving on stage/set. I take direction very well and I am not afraid to ask questions if I feel more clarification is necessary. I am a diligent worker and passionate about my acting, be it on stage or in a sound booth.
