Project Main Details

winter fall electric safety
This is a snug script, but doable. Breathing is optional. The client does not want a gravely voice (been there in an earlier spot in the same campaign). You will need to be available for a phone patch on Thursday, Sept 19 at 9 a.m.

While the client will be part of the session, don't worry about there being too many cooks in the kitchen; she is pretty much hands off in giving direction.

this spot features a regular guy who does a little tongue in cheek humor. He seems to have a smile in his voice. He can chuckle as he speaks.

In three lines (see below), he mimics his wife talking. He is not portraying her as a shrew. It's only old-married-guy humor. He obviously loves her.

Each line will be read a bit different:

Honey, we need to clean gutters, (EWW YUCK)

Honey, WE should hang Christmas lights! (EXCITED)

Honey, shouldn’t WE shovel the roof? (CONCERNED)

My wife looks up to me this time of year.

Cause she’s always got me on a LADDER.

(MIMICS WIFE) Honey, we need to clean gutters.

Honey, WE should hang Christmas lights!

Honey, shouldn’t WE shovel the roof?

Of course “we,” means me. (LAUGH)

But at least she checks to see I don’t fall.

I ALSO watch out for overhead power lines.

(ASIDE) Or a downed line in icy weather.

We have GOT to be careful up there.

Darn, now I’m saying “we.”

ANNC: Be smart around electricity. ******. We want you to be safe.
