V/O needed for United Nations affiliated video that explores how humanitarian organisations can better respond to urban crises, e.g. armed conflict and natural disasters in densely populated areas.
Please send an audition reading from the attached script if you are interested. The V/O preferably should not have a strong regional accent.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please make sure that you’re available over the next couple of weeks to record the full script. If the script changes substantially after the first commissioned recording we require one free retake included within the overall fee of £300 (+VAT). If we require more than one retake involving substantial changes we’ll pay £50 (+VAT) per retake. The retakes we're referring to involve substantial changes to the script and not retakes on account of getting the tone right, which should carry no extra charge.

“Humanitarian crises such as armed conflict, natural disasters, forced displacement and outbreaks of disease can prove particularly devastating in densely populated towns and cities.
60 years ago, just 30% of the world’s population lived in urban areas. Since 2007 this figure has gone past 50%.
Despite this fundamental demographic shift, humanitarian agencies are still generally set-up to respond to crises in sparsely populated rural areas.
This leads to problems, as the appropriate response to a humanitarian crisis in an urban setting is often quite different to what would be appropriate for a rural area.”
