Project Main Details

Underaged Drinking
This is a radio spot that is supposed to sound as if a 10-12 year old boy is standing up at an AA meeting and telling his story about becoming a 'future' alcoholic. The younger sounding the boy the better. We have two voices needed for this spot so if the person hired can provide both voices (young boy and adult male) then we can pay $300. If you are only able to provide one voice (either one) then the amount we can pay is $150.

Script Details

(Voice 1 - Adult Male) Ok Who’s next?

(Voice 2 - Young Boy) Hi. My name is Billy and I am a future alcoholic.

(Voice 1 - Adult Male) Hi Billy.

(Voice 2 - Young Boy) It will start in middle school… with my friends…drinking at sleep-overs and parties. My parents won’t even know until high school… but by then it will be too late.

(Voice 1 - Adult Male) Kids who drink before age 15 are 5 times more likely to have alcohol problems when they are adults.

(Voice 2 - Young Boy) I don’t know why they didn’t warn me sooner…

(Voice 1 - Adult Male) So parents - start talking before they start drinking.

(Voice 2 - Young Boy) Provided by a grant from the MS Department of Mental Health and Weems Community Mental Health Center.
