Recent incidents of police killings of African-Americans have garnered much attention in recent times. Stories and videos of fatal police incidents have incited a deep anger and frustration among the public, and galvanized protests and mass demonstrations across the country. From Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown to Tamir Rice and Akai Gurley as well as others, this documentary aims to find out why there has been this pattern. This also documentary tells the story of how three women came together and joined the Black Lives Matter movement in hope of bringing about change. we learn about their ongoing struggle for acceptance and justice amidst a burgeoning national debate over race and police brutality.

PLEASE READ FOR DEMO: On April 19, 2015, 23 year old Freddie Gray, Jr., also an African American man died in the hospital after sustaining injuries while being transported in a police van. Gray had been arrested on April 12th by the Baltimore Police Department for possessing what the police alleged was an illegal switchblade. Gray's hospitalization and subsequent death resulted in an ongoing series of protests. On April 25, 2015, a major protest in downtown Baltimore turned violent, resulting in 34 arrests and injuries to 15 police officers. After Gray's funeral on April 27, civil disorder intensified with looting and burning of local businesses and a CVS drug store, resulting in a state of emergency declared by Governor Larry Hogan. The Maryland National Guard was deployed to Baltimore, and a curfew was put in place.
