Project Main Details

Red Ball Story
We need AUDITIONS of the attached script. This is the narration for an animated video that's part of a presentation for schools in Canada. The presentation is about an organization called Right to Play. The story in the video is about a red ball that travels from Canada to Africa, where kids play with it, and teach it games to bring back to Canadian kids. The voice of the red ball is a kid's voice, and the kid we're looking for could be either male or female. The kids watching the video might be as young as six or eight, but the kid narrating should probably be older—maybe 11 or 12 (because kids at that age are generally better readers). Whatever the age of the kid reading, she or he should SOUND eight to ten years old—but not babyish. The script is between two and a half and three minutes long.

Script Details

Hi there!

It’s me, the red ball…here, in front of the green house, next to the lamppost. See me?

I’m just a regular red ball.

You know, like kids everywhere play with, in parks, fields, and schoolyards.

But I got to do a really cool thing.

I got to represent an organization called Right to Play.

They help make sure kids all over the world get a chance to play, and have fun being kids.

And they took me on an amazing trip.

We started in Toronto...

…but before I knew it, I was at the airport, about to get on a plane—to Africa

We flew all the way to the country of Ghana.

It sure was different than this country in many ways.

But one thing was the same: there were lots of kids there, who were happy to play with me.

And we had a ball together! I guess that’s not surprising, since I AM a ball.

Anyway, I made lots of friends, and they all signed their names on me.

I got to tour around Ghana, saw some sites…

…played and learned all kinds of games.

Now I’m back, and I have a whole lot to tell you about…along with my awesome olympic champion friends Hayley and Adam.

So keep watching. We want to make sure you get in on the fun too!
