Project Main Details

Project Anvil
Project Anvil is a “mockumentary” style feature in a video game. In this feature, players’ performances will be “narrated” in a parody of the typical documentary. The dialogue will be highly comical, but we are looking for a relatively straight, but dramatic read -- to really sell the jokes. Imagine the dry delivery of a “Behind the Music” episode crossed with the absurd humor of “This is Spinal Tap.” We are looking for the archetypal documentary narrator voice – deep and resonant, with the ability to handle both humor and (faux) gravitas.

Script Details

They started as friends, bound together by a Rock and Roll dream. They set off in search of fame and fortune, certain that they would one day stand alongside the greatest legends in music history, but what they found along the way was that dreams can sometimes... become nightmares. This is the story... “Beneath the Tuneage.”
November 12, 1997: The band played its pivotal first-ever show at the now-famous “Trusty Pat’s open mic night” in downtown Schenectady. The local press hailed the Trusty Pat’s show as, “Better than crab dip, assuming you really like crab dip.”
March 4th, 1998: The band scored a coveted matinee slot at the Cuthbert County Youth Center, where an incident with a hot cheese dispenser would change them forever. The guitarist immediately stole the spotlight with a performance as blisteringly hot as the contents of the free cheese pump at the concession stand.
