Project Main Details
It is autumn of 1816. You and your family are on the move, relocating from Kentucky to Indiana. How will you pack your wagon?
Touch the screen to begin.
Pack It Up!
Load up that wagon and head on out! Don’t forget:
- Enough supplies to last the two-week trek to Indiana
- Money for buying land and tools for building your new house
- Supplies for the long winter
- Equipment for farming and for establishing a business.
Just make sure you aren’t overloading the wagon. Watch the weight and volume of your cargo.
Choose carefully. Touch an item to learn about it and decide if it goes or stays behind.
Time to Go!
Happy with what you packed? Ready to begin your journey? Just remember: there is no turning back.
Say goodbye to the last of your friends. You are in unfamiliar territory now.
After taking ferry across, you are in Indiana!
You Made It!
…But barely. You packed just enough food for the journey and to survive the winter, but it is going to be tough to thrive here in Indiana.
Some tips for next time:
- Bring enough seeds to grow more food in the spring.
- Bring tools to start a business. Carpenters make good money….
