Emotional Characteristics (Personality): brave, sympathetic, gentleman, French
Relationship to the player: waiter from a ship Detective took a ride on, becomes a real helper in tricky and dangerous situations.
Relationship to other characters: kind, afraid of possessed men and the Siren, worries about other people
Additional notes: if it is possible - we would like to give this character a French accent. A bit comical, but not laughable. This is preferred for strong character personality and uniqueness.

Script Details

Intro movie

Detective (PC) takes a trip on a cruise ship. She reads a post-card signed by Fiona (the character from the previous part of the game). The waiter arrives and brings Detective her meal. Suddenly a storm arises and the ship crashes.

Noel: (gentle, polite): Here you go, Detective. Bon appetit!

Noel: (surprised, frightened): Wh-what's happening? Hold on! We're going to crash! Ahhh!

The man on the scene (Noel) cries for help

Noel: (really afraid for his life): Ahh! Help!

The man on the scene (Noel) is unconscious and mumbles something

Noel: (mumbles stuff being unconscious): What… Hmmm… Ungh…
The last message left by waiter of the crashed ship

Noel (being possessed by a magic of a Siren. Impersonates the captain of the ship. His voice sounds much older and different): (strong, worried, decisive): Can anyone hear this? We're passing Muirin Island. There's a strange storm… We're taking on water. S.O.S. Hello—

Noel speaks with us after we bring him back to consciousness

Noel: (grateful, weak voice, doesn't feel good): Thank you! That… thing almost got me. My name is Noel. Ungh. I don't feel well.
Some mystical force possesses Noel and speaks with player. Noel gains control over himself again and is frightened because of the things happening to his body and loses consciousness again.

Noel: (shocked, afraid): Ahh! What's happening to me?! I...
Player transports Noel away from the shore. Noel thanks Detective and asks about his crew. After that he says that they (Noel and Player) should seek for help in the town.

Noel: (grateful, weak voice, worried about the fate of his crew): Thank you again, Detective. I feel a bit better. My crew… Did any of them make it?

Noel: (Decisive, strong, made his mind): No, I… I don't want to know. I'll just believe they're all safe somewhere. Oh, I see a village over there. Let's try to find help. And answers.
Noel tries to figure out how the gate lock works and asks Player to pull some triggers

Noel: (strong, interested, tries to figure out stuff): Hmm. What we should do now? Perhaps try pulling something.

Player and Detective get trapped in a gate trap

Noel: (Surprised): Oh no - we're trapped!
Noel is out of breath and can't keep up with other characters, so he says that Player should better leave him behind.

Noel: (catches breath, heroic, feels he is a burden): I can't keep up any longer, Detective. Leave me behind. Go on, save yourselves.

Player returns to Noel's hiding place and witnesses Noel being attacked by a snake.

Noel: (irrittated, disgusted): Ah! Get off me!

Noel thanks Player for saving him and discusses their plans for future actions. Also he gives Player a part of the Wheel found in the Cellar

Noel: (grateful, kind, gentle): Oh, you're just in time. I will owe you till the end of my days (worried) Where's the girl? (understanding) Oh… I see. (outraged, indignant, heroic) We must get to Albion and report this to the police! To the army! To the Queen herself!

Noel (outraged, indignant, heroic): This must be stopped. Let's find out how to escape the island. (kind, helpful) Here, this may help you.

Noel asks to give him some time to catch his breath

Noel: (a bit tired, needs to get a hold of himself): Just a moment, Detective. Let me catch my breath.

Noel gets attacked by a possessed man

Noel: (being attacked, surprised, cries for help): Sacre bleu! [ˌsakreɪ'blə:] Help! Detective!

Noel and Detective ride away from possessed men who pursued them. Noel says that he sees a wharf and that the boat would be their only chance to escape

Noel: (strong, decisive): There is no time to lose! These people cannot be stopped. I see a wharf over there - we must find a boat!
Noel holds the door while possessed men try to break in. He asks for some tool to block the door.

Noel: (worried, asks for help): Hurry - do something! I can't hold on for long!

Noel and Detective attempt to leave the island by boat. Suddenly a vision of Siren appears from the smoke and threatens the characters. A giant fish appears from the depth and crashes the boat. Player starts to drown.

Noel: (awe, shocked): Mon dieu… [mɔ̃ djø] Behind you!
Noel and Detective attempt to leave the island by boat. Suddenly a vision of Siren appears from the smoke and threatens the characters. A giant fish appears from the depth and crashes the boat. Player starts to drown. Suddenly an amulet starts to glow with new active power indicator.

Noel: (frightened, worried): Hold on!

Noel: *gurgling*
