Project Main Details

Meuse Argonne War Documentary
• We do NOT want an announcer read please!! This is nuanced emotional script and needs to be of variable timbre and sensitivity.

• This is an important documentary that will be shown at overseas American Military cemeteries. Visitors coming to the cemeteries will have the opportunity to better understand the battles that were fought in the area and sacrifices made to defend our freedom. (There are two scripts)

• This is currently a scratch narration that we are providing to the client and if accepted will REPAY this same budget amount to re-record the final track. There is however no guarantee that the client will select this voice for the final read.

Script Details

NARRATOR: The bloody Meuse Argonne offensive in the fall of 1918 had left over 26,000 Americans dead.
Men torn apart by a new kind of mechanized warfare…
…killed so fast and in such numbers, they had to be buried in makeshift graves.

• Corporal Howard Ramsey recalled, “This was the best these men could receive during the stress of battle, but now that the war is over these men are being put in a more fitting resting place.”

• Creating this fitting place would prove to be a gruesome, massive undertaking.
Companies of African American soldiers meticulously combed the war-ravaged fields and forests in search of improvised graves.

• They then performed the challenging task of transporting the fallen to their final resting place in Romagne…
… where some of the heaviest fighting occurred.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
