Script Details

Meditation is the practice of mental discipline that can not only bring a sense of inner peace and calm, but has even been proven to virtually change the way the human brain functions. It can provide the opportunity for practitioners to achieve higher levels of awareness through controlled breathing, attentive posture and a mind that remains conscious of, and focused on the present, regardless of external distractions. Progressive meditation is thought of as a way to achieve our goals in life. Instead of waiting for the experiences we long for to happen on their own, progressive meditation teaches us to ask the universe, through a focused, goal driven meditative state, to lead us to the things we so desire.

Often defined as the achievement of a deep state of both physical and mental relaxation and inner awareness through focused breathing and thought, traditional meditation generally consists of two broad styles: mindful and concentrative.

Mindful meditation is the practice of training the mind to remain in the present, regardless of the thoughts or emotions that are coming and going in the current moment.
