Marching Band Show
We are doing a marching band show called "Marching band 101" The show is set so that it is setup as a class over designing a marching band show. We would like the voiceovers to be very elegant and proper as if you were sitting inside of a class with a professor. We look forward to hearing all of the options.

Script Details

“Hello, and welcome to Marching Band 101. I will be your host. Every fall thousands of students practice hours on end to perfect a few minutes of music and movement. But who are these people, and what is it that they are actually doing? And why do they push large themed objects out onto the field, march around, and play music we may or may not know? All great questions.”

“Now let’s meet the performers specifically. Music is the most important facet of marching band. We will feature each section musically, starting with percussion”

“Now let’s meet the wind players”

“And finally, the guard”

“When the ensemble comes together, great things start to happen.”

“While music is considered primary, what you see on a marching band field must be performed accurately based on a variety of criteria.”

“Complementary visual and musical ideas combine to create effect.”

“When execution is better, more effect is achieved”

“Execution relies heavily on individual contribution. How long did it take you to focus in on the one person that didn’t move? This is the power the individual performer has”

“Performers should listen and watch carefully.”

“One performer can ruin a moment.”

M. 22-23 “But when all of them contribute at their best...”

“The power of one person can be amazing.”

“Individual contribution is key to generating effect, but incorporating dance, new equipment, and pop music are a few trendy ways to maximize the general effect of a show.”

Mvt. 5

“When we start over from the beginning with all of the elements we have discussed, we can truly appreciate marching band as an art form. Sit back and enjoy!

“Individual Contribution”

“...and General Effect.”

“This has been Marching Band 101, thank you so much for participating, and we hope you enjoyed the show.
