Bad PowerPoints can bore your audience to death and cloud the message of your
presentation. Here are some tips to help you make your point with PowerPoint, and
design slides that engage your audience.
What's your point? Why does it matter? If your audience could remember only one thing what do you want it to be? Tell a story to connect with your audience and to make your point relevant. Remember, it’s not about you. Your audience is asking itself one question… “What’s in it for me?”
Finish this sentence: “Death by… “. Typical PowerPoint style routinely disrupts, dominates, and trivializes content. Most
presentations remain mind-numbingly dull, something to be endured by both presenter and
audience alike. Focus on telling your story with clarity, meaning and purpose. At a
minimum, a presentation format should do no harm.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
