WHAT IS BIOSPADA?
BIOSPADA is an antimicrobial based on the innovative S.P.A.D.A. molecular nanotechnology, which protects surfaces against microbes, physically destroying the cell membranes of bacteria, viruses and fungi, as well as algae, yeast and other microorganisms able to produce serious health hazards.
S.P.A.D.A. nanotechnology is an acronym for Self-aligning, Polymeric, Antimicrobial, Durable Array, a description of how the technology works. When S.P.A.D.A. is applied to any surface, it becomes strongly bonded to it at a molecular level, creating a durable layer that protects the surface against microbes until it is removed by abrasion.
The layer that covers the surfaces at a microscopic level consists of molecules called nano-swords. They act in this way:
• The base adheres strongly to the molecules of any surface.
• The base also attaches to other S.P.A.D.A. molecules in a way that keeps the "sword" upright in a vertical point-up position.
• This point acts as the tip of a sword: it physically pierces micro-organisms’ cell-wall and destroys them.
• The center is electrically charged and also electrocutes the microbe.
As a result, all the products using the S.P.A.D.A.® nanotechnology are durable antimicrobials that are effective against a variety of microbes.

The active agents of the S.P.A.D.A. technology have successfully demonstrated its effectiveness in laboratory tests against 99.9% (nearly all) of the microbes that cause infections, either bacteria, viruses, yeasts, algae, mold or fungi, including the most damaging for human beings, like H1N1, MRSA, E. coli, streptococci, staphylococci, VRE, various Clostridia, and many protozoa as examples.
