If so , Clinical research could be for you.
As a Junior doctor that doesn’t get involved with clinical research you could be missing out on accelerating your career path, gaining the respect of you your peers and improving the care you give to your patients.
However by choosing to get involved with Clinical research you will open up a whole new world where you can break boundaries, improve your knowledge, change clinical practices and even make that name for yourself.
… and your patients will really benefit too. It’s a fact that clinical researchers have a better understanding of their topic, know why they are treating patients a certain way and help develop new solutions to problems that vastly improve the lives of their patients.
Here at Central Manchester Foundation Trust we aim to make the process of getting involved as easy as possible so you can join over 300 existing staff members who are responsible for the delivery of high quality and safe research within the Trust. You’ll also get support through the Research and Innovation Division, clinical fellowships and the Fellowship Academy. And with our dedicated research facilities you will have access to space and staff for your projects.
Plus you don’t have to come from an academic background, clinical research is open to all Junior Doctors.
And while you are doing it you’ll develop skills such as data reviewing, presentation skills and critical thinking.
So... if you want to have stability in your career, to have better relationships with your patients and be motivated to instigate positive change within the NHS …whats stopping you?
Take the leap and be part of history, think big, and perhaps your name will be remembered for changing the world!
