Before the panels arrive, the site should already have the underground utilities prepared, the slab should be poured, the steel should be in place and the site should be decently graded.
The panels arrive simultaneously on two different trucks and are part of the same shipment.
The panels are stacked on the truck according to placement so the top panel is the first to be placed.
While the panels are being placed, steel angles are being secured to the foundation via Tapcon to provide support to temporary bracing used during construction.
By hour 3 we’ve placed our first panel and by hour 5 we have completed the south wall.
We move to the east wall and continue the panel installation process.
We erect the west wall and then onto the North Wall.
The roof trusses are put into place one by one starting with the southern half of the building.
Once the trusses are in place, we brace and block the roof trusses. This illustration displays the proper way to install the blocking.
Additional panels have been installed for the tower and the curved roof portions are put into place and secured.
The windows are attended to and final site cleanup begins.
By hour 36, we are complete.
This crew specifically is four carpenters and four laborers.
Refer to the bid package for a list of materials to be provided by the general contractor.
Here, we can see the blocking overlayed on our image.
Here is a detail of the blocking required between each truss. See the construction drawings for more information.
Here, we can see a detail of the sheer wall anchor. See the construction drawings for more information.
