Project Main Details

iOS App Training
This project is teach customers how to use our company software recently designed for iOS devices. This is designed for a self-paced training course and will involve video and simulated practices. The audience is for professionals in the industry with a basic understanding of construction and estimating.
We will need the files recorded and edited by the voice talent and provided with quick turnaround with little editing needed on our end. We may need to contact the talent after finished files are provided to record new sections that we have added to the course. Looking for someone easy to work with and knows how to clean up audio so as to eliminate awkward breaths in the audio.

We will have over 9 chapters of script with each chapter having 6-10 lessons. We would need the files provided back as the lessons (lessons are roughly 2-3 minutes each).

Chapter 4 Lesson 1:
Now that you’ve learned how to create a project in Xactimate Mobile, this chapter will teach you a more standard version of using Sketch.
The methods you will learn in the following chapters are similar to the methods you’ve used while working in Xactimate Desktop.
However, there are some differences you need to be aware of.
Many of the differences between Xactimate Online and Xactimate Mobile are due to the basic differences between a computer and an iPad.
Since we don’t have as much working space on our iPad as we do with our desktop, we’ll need to zoom in and out a lot.
You can zoom in on a room by tapping it to select it, then double-tapping the room.
You can drag the sketch around on the iPad screen by placing two fingers on the screen and dragging the sketch in the direction you want it to go.
You can further zoom in on a wall, a door, or a window by selecting it, then double-tapping.
You can zoom to extents by making sure nothing in the sketch is selected, then double-tapping anywhere in the Sketch workspace.
Finally, you can manually zoom in and out by placing two fingers on the iPad screen and pinching them together, or moving them apart.
We hope these tips will help you start using Sketch quickly.
Chapter 4 Lesson 2:
Rooms and Walls
Sketch in Xactimate Mobile is very similar to Desktop Sketch, with the most useful features intact.
The Room button appears at the top left, and works the same way it does in Desktop: we simply tap the Room button, then tap to add a twelve-by-twelve room.
Let’s tap the Trash button to delete this first room.
Instead, we’ll tap the Room button again, and drag to adjust the dimensions of our room.
As with Xactimate, we can tap the dimensions of a wall to enter an exact length.
We can also use the Square Break tool to break a wall into two or more sections.
Let’s tap the Square Break button, then tap and drag a section of wall.
We’ll drag that section out, using the wall handles.
We can leave this jog as it is, or click the east wall and drag it to align with the rest of the room.
We can also use the Add Vertex tool to add a non-90-degree angle to the home.
We drag the new corner out, adjusting the angle at twenty-two-and-a-half degree increments.
We can also use the Control button to create new rooms from existing rooms.
Let’s tap the south room wall, then tap the Control button, then drag the wall south until it fills the gap between the main room and its jog.
We can add a free-standing wall to the room using the Wall tool.
We tap the Wall button, then tap and begin dragging the wall in the direction we want to go.
We can then tap the desired endpoint of the wall.
Xactimate Mobile draws the wall between the two points, constrained to a twenty-two point five degree angle.
We’ll draw another wall across Room 1.
After we realize this last wall was a mistake, we can click the Undo button at the bottom portion of the screen.
Like all walls in Xactimate, we can select any wall and click its Properties icon to view additional properties about it.
We can adjust the wall thickness, add footing, and even create an arced wall.
Using these tools, you can create most rooms in Xactimate Mobile.
