Project Main Details

I Found It
Please read the project description below. We are looking for an English accent. Think John Oliver. John Cleese or any of the Python guys. Not Lord Grantham of Downton Abbey. Needs a good amount of energy. This is a series of three :15 commercials to run on-line. The product is a new bread called EUREKA from a well known national bakery. The ads are going to be stop motion animation featuring an illustration of the bust of Archimedes; the ancient mathematician, scientist, philosopher. I am casting for the voice of Archimedes who will narrate and be the only voice. Here is the copywriters description of the voice. "When you live over 2200 years, you live almost everywhere. For Archimedes that meant everywhere from a loud bachelor pad overlooking the construction of the Pantheon to a long "lost weekend" in Wisconsin. All this moving about makes it difficult to attribute a specific dialect to him. It has been described as "British-ish" and when he speaks his words reveal the depths of his brilliance, even when peppered with incorrectly used slang. His tone is always approachable. He never sounds bitter." So we are thinking Brit but not Downton Abbey Brit. Look at the copy and see how the muse hits you. If you think something else works let me hear that too. Good luck! There are three short scripts. Please leave a beat between each one. Thanks.

Script Details

They say breaking bread is the universal sign of peace. But why break it when you can chew it? Mmmmmm...
Eureka! Don't be bland. (break)

According to legend, whoever eats the last piece of bread has to kiss the cook. Our bread is bursting with tasty grains and seeds. Soooo...pucker up! Eureka! Don't be bland! (break)

Give it up for my man, Otto Frederick Roawedder. The inventor of sliced bread. That's right! Sliced bread. He did that. Eureka! Don't be bland.
