Project Main Details

Heritage app female narrative
This project is for the buyout of a voice-over narrative for a digital app that is being produced for a charitable organisation to reveal the history of a heritage site in the north west of England. The female voice will lead the user around the site, giving directions and highlighting points of interest. The tone is to be informative, warm and conversational but with an air of mystery, in a neutral accent to contrast with the local voices that will also be heard within the app.

Script Details

Stand in front of the chapel today, looking through the doorway to the expanse of the Bay, and the stones remind us that this was a place of pilgrimage, a place of worship and sanctuary. But there is a hidden history here too, underneath your feet. More than ninety burials of men, women and children that dated to the tenth and eleventh centuries were discovered during an archaeological dig in the 1970s. Some lay in stone-lined tombs, possibly a mark of status, whilst other bodies were interred within natural crevices in the bedrock. Following the excavation and analysis of the bones, the remains were re-interred in St Peter’s churchyard. A grave cover of a possible 9th-century date is all that remains.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
