Target audience is milenials active on social media. The voice is like a man from the 80's upset about the way society has turned out, but still friendly and charismatic.

The campaign is about encouraging milenials to not take themselves so seriously and to bring back the simple mentality of back in the day, when people lived in the moment.

Script Details

Now a days people are all so worried about what others think. We spend ages picking out what to post, cropping photos, and swiping around for the perfect filter. But back in the day people were just…you know, who they were. We lived in the moment and did things for the sake of doing them man, not just because it would be cool to post.

Hanes wants to bring back the simpler days. A time when things weren’t so complicated. So we brought things #backtobasocks

Back to a time when people when out to have fun instead of watching videos of other people having fun.

We invited people to live stream a video on Facebook of someone doing something rad using our hashtag. That means only one shot, no re-doing, no editing, and NO filters.

We took the sweet ones and turned them into GIFs on our Instagram page, then, the ones with the most likes got made into real-world, tangible, holdable, actually-in-your-hand GIFS.
